The Shake are a 4pce guitar-bass-drums-vocals band. have been together for the last 8 years, under such other names as Drivingsideways,Strange Fruit and Rattlesnake Shake, now just The Shake,have performed 6 out of the last 8 Narooma Blues Fests.and more recently one of the headlining acts at the Newcastle blues fest 2009,also Tilba Easter fest 2008 and 2009, Narooma Oyster fest. 2008 and 2009, and performing up and down the sth coast from Bega to Woolongong since.Our aim is to do Festivals and tour. We would describe what we do as differant than the usual band.The guitar sound is pure and unadulterated by effects pedals and features the right handed finger style of Pat Finnerty on guitar-he's never used a pick. The music is classic,traditional blues/soul/jazz and guitar instrumentals from the 60's,70's,80's from the likes of Freddy King,Albert King,Elvis,Anson Funderburgh etc,etc. Pat Finnerty-guitar - Began playing in Melbourne and soon found his passion for the blues,especially Freddy King and Albert King style picking with his fingers.His sound is a pure , clean electric guitar sound free from effects pedals.Pat also has a background in jazz. Stan Culic- bass-Grew up in Hobart and was soon playing for top Tassie band Mandy which was support act for many top touring bands,then moved to Melbourne and the Sydney, playing in many original and top support acts. Chris Culic- drums- Started playing on the Gold Coast then moved to Sydney playing in original bands in the 80's before moving to N.Z.where he played various cover bands.He has a love for all things rhythmic. Adrian Diechaus-the awesome Adrian!! vocals- commenced his career in Far Nth Qld.After playing extensively various duo's,launched a solo career playing guitar and singing covers from Elvis to Chilli Peppers to Soundgarden to Cold Chisel,hence he attained the rich rhythm and blues style of singing.
