Jazz Australis - the cool breed of Australian Jazz. Jazz Australis provides not only the cool jazz vibe you need, but the versatility to suit the occasion. Whether it is the up front and featured show with the remarkable William Barton, or an intimate mood of the Piano trio, Jazz Australis gives you the ultimate in classy jazz. There is a Quintet, Quartet, Trio and Duo combination available that can be tailored to your specific requirements. Jazz Australis has recently collaborated with William Barton, who is today recognised as Australia's leading didgeridoo player.

Since 2004 Toby has consolidated his output and focussed on his group, The Toby Wren Trio, for which he writes the music and performs. The group released it's debut CD "Umlaut" in 2006. Since 2006 Toby has been investigating Carnatic (South Indian Classical) music which led to a study tour in India and recent collaborations with Carnatic musicians. Recent compositions for the group use structures from Jazz and Carnatic music to create new vehicles for ensemble and improvisation.
