Nathan Morrison is a versatile musician with experience in jazz, rock and pop styles. Performing on piano and guitar, Nathan can tailor his set list to accommodate your needs. Growing up in a house full of music, Nathan began playing piano at the age of 7. During high school Nathan developed a taste for popular music and improvisation, “It all really began one day at school when we were shown the ‘blues scale’. Since then, I’ve been addicted to Rock, Jazz and Blues.” Over the past 3 years, Nathan has gained valuable experience performing at venues all over Brisbane, including The Zoo and The Globe as a member of the Byron Short and the Sunset Junkies band. Nathan has a diverse range of influences; including jazz pioneers, Nat King Cole and Ray Charles through to the legendary pianomen, Elton John, Billy Joel and Lionel Richie, up to contemporary artists, John Mayer, James Morrison and Jason Mraz. At the age of 21, Nathan is currently studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production at the Queensland University of Technology.
